What are washable sanitary pads?

Washable sanitary pads are a reusable alternative to disposable pads. They are made of soft, breathable materials like organic cotton, bamboo, or hemp. They consist of multiple layers of fabric, including an absorbent core and a waterproof outer layer to prevent leaks. They are secured to your underwear with snaps or Velcro.

How do you use washable menstrual pads?

2. Change: Replace the net as you normally would (on average every 4-6 hours or when you go to the toilet).

3. On the go: Store used pads in a wet bag . This will keep moisture and odors contained. (Although washable pads have little to no odor!)

How did you wash them?

1. Rinsing: After use, rinse under cold water until most of the blood is gone.

2. Wash: Machine wash at a maximum temperature of 60 degrees Celsius with your usual detergent. Do not use fabric softener or bleach!

3. Drying: Preferably air dry. Tumble dry on a low setting, but avoid high heat.

How do you choose the right type?

• Panty liners or light: For light days or as a panty liner.

• Medium: For normal menstrual days.

• Heavy or night: For heavier days or at night.
